Bath-time accidents are associated with two factors:
1. bathroom safety issues
2. the person bathing

There are many ways to increase safety in and around the bathroom or shower room such as hand rails, safety mats, floor towels and non slip flooring.

Baths normally come with safety rails and you can also find them in shower cubicles. However, when it comes to protecting yourself, your children, your parents and even friends and relatives in the event of a slip on a wet floor, that’s a different problem.

The towel on the floor that doesn’t cover all the area, the bath mat that looks unsightly and most probably full of bacteria and mould. The shower plate that has bobbles on, which looks more like a feature than a prevention to a slip. All these only create hazards and do not solve the main issue which is the possibility of a slip.
